The event for Dutch and Singaporean SME’s was supported by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce together with SPRING Singapore and organized by the Dutch Embassy in conjunction with the State Visit of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands and Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Orange, and Princess Máxima of The Netherlands.

Serious Games is Serious Business Seminar 2012

On the 28 August 2012, close to 60 guests joined us for an informative session at the Games Solution Centre (GSC), themed “Serious Games is Serious Business”, to elicit opportunities for Singaporean and Dutch partners to collaborate, strengthen expertise and stimulate creativity to enter new markets. It was a great platform for exploring possible networking opportunities.

Netherlands: Launchpad to the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement

May 14 2013, Singapore: Following three years of negotiations, Singapore and the European Union concluded the EU-SIngapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) in December 2013, giving Singapore and EU companies greater access to each other's markets.

Singapore is the first country in South-East Asia to clinch an FTA with the EU, marking a key milestone in the economic partnership between Singapore and EU countries. Last year, the EU was Singapore's second largest trading partner with an 11 per cent share of Singapore's total trade, while Singapore was the EU's 13th largest trading partner as bilateral trade hit $106 billion in 2011, up 7 per cent from 2010.
