Biosciences Bucks the Trend

The Netherlands' advantageous business climate has attracted many U.S. biotech companies. The country has seen a 30 percent increase in start-up healthcare and biopharmaceutical applications, outperforming the average growth rate of 15 percent. Companies are also partnering with Dutch universities for clinical studies and trials, and taking advantage of the country's science parks, including Leiden, which ranks in the top five most successful science parks in Europe.
